According to survey respondents, the introduction of central clearing is expected to result in lower margins, increased collateral requirements and a general increase in the cost of doing business in areas such as OTC derivatives.
"Inflows have remained steady, while outflows have spiked in line with quarter-end rebalancing," Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at SS&C Technologies, said.
In July, the group said it was considering the sale of its insurance business, which is one of its main cash generators.
